Night of the Senses

Our festival closing party!

Come along for a poetic, performative and delicious night of sensory titillation… With performances and immersive experiences for the eyes and ears, and some extra special stations to please your sense of smell and touch, this is a night that promises a feast for the senses and experiences like no other.

Tickets include a welcome drink.

There is also an option to include a delicious sensory platter with vegan & veggie options. These can be purchased on the night but are discounted if you purchase in advance.

The event will include immersive experiences from:

Poetry Brothel Hastings

Poets and performers Debra Watson and Naomi Wood will be leading you through an intimate, multi-sensory poetical experience.

The Sound Apothecary

Maria uses her crystal singing bowls to offer Sound Bath immersion, to demonstrate the power of vibrational healing. Lie down, close your eyes and let the vibrations take you to another place.

Rosy Pendlebaby
Rosy will be immersing her audience in the smutty words of yesteryear… Using historical smut from real-life letters between lovers, Rosy will give you a sneak peek into how people once titillated the senses with only words on a page.

Valerie Lightheart

Val is a mystic, psychic spiritualist and interpreter of messages from beyond this world. Using her unique skills Val will listen to your dreams, process them through her divine channels and present them back to you through the medium of interpretive dance, mime and good ole charades. Val hails from the tropical forests of Queensland, Australia where she holds journeying ceremonies, workshops and retreats for all wandering souls.

Pupin DeVert
Pupin is a Burlesque performer, silver-haired showgirl and all-round bad doggie.

Naomi Wood
Naomi is an aerial performer who will leave her audience in a spin with her fascinating and ethereal contortion on the aerial hoop.

Loulou Cousin

Get curious and explore our Sensory Shed installation, created by talented local artist Loulou Cousin.

And musical performances from:

ASHKAT

ASHKAT, a solo alt pop artist from Brighton, is an alluring and vivacious blend of FKA Twigs, Grimes and Kate Bush. Her music weaves from innocent and enchanting to expansive and powerful through her enigmatic songwriting - exploring the human experience in all its most ugly and beautiful glory - and synth heavy production.

Ahrtemisia

Ahrtemisia is a harpist, who draws her ethereal soundscapes from a Celtic and Hellenic background, bringing sounds of the past to A Night of the Senses.
